At Groom & Gather, we believe every pet deserves to feel cherished, comfortable, and beautifully cared for. Founded by Hannah Bruce, our boutique salon and pet store is built on a lifelong love of animals, a deep commitment to welfare, and a passion for blending expert care with boutique-quality products that pets and owners trust and love. Hannah’s journey began with Arthur, a white deaf cat who taught her the power of patience and gentle care. Over the years, her home became a haven for a beloved mix of personalities—from Yoda the regal hairless cat and Boo the charming rogue, to Ollie the spirited Yorkshire Terrier. Later came sister cats Tia and Maria, and her beloved dogs Billy the gentle King Charles Cavalier and Boots, a miniature Yorkshire Terrier with a big personality. These beloved companions shaped Hannah’s unwavering dedication to animal wellbeing and inspired her instinctive approach to care. Her path to Groom & Gather was anything but ordinary. From early training in hairdressing and beauty therapy in Essex to roles in customer service, care work, and patient transport, Hannah’s career has always centred around people, comfort, and connection. But it was a move to Lancashire in 2025, and the companionship of her lively cockapoo Jasper, that gave her the clarity to combine her background in care and styling with her lifelong passion for animals. |
Combining her love of the salon environment with her instinct for care, Hannah envisioned a space where pets could be groomed to the highest standards and where owners could gather trusted, boutique-quality pet essentials. And so Groom & Gather was born.
Hannah holds a Level 2 Award in Canine Care and Welfare (RQF), an iPET Network Level 3 Award in Canine First Aid, and a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming. These qualifications reflect her commitment to safety, excellence, and ongoing learning.
